On 16th and 17th of August we went on our Summer group excursion. This time to the pre-alp region of Fribourg in the area of Gruyère, chosen by Raphaelle likely because of the top reputation for cheese (and chocolate ?). We first went to Charmey to do some tree climbing at “Charmey Aventures”:

Then we were walking through the “Gorge of the Jonge”

shooting some nice group photo…

not on the pictures is Roy Haller and the “secret” person in the back row is Frederick Thomas

The path led us to our first day destination, Gruyère:

where we enjoyed a great dinner at the Restaurant Le Chalet:

an example of a dessert…there were plenty of Meringue with Crème double taken….

The next day we walked along the lake of Gruyère to Corbières

having time to enjoy the gorgeous colors of nature (before the thunder storm came)

thanks Raphaelle and David for this view into the landscape beyond the Röschtigraben and the cheese and the Meringue
